Dust and Planetesimal evolution in circumstellar disks - building a habitable Earth
Circumstellar disks are the birthplaces of planets. Even though making up for only a few percent of the mass, dust grains are a major ingredient for planet formation as they undergo the processes of growth and drift. Eventually, planetesimals form from the dust. This project focuses on analyzing the evolution of the dust and planetesimal distribution in circumstellar disks and links simulational results to observations.
